Nomentia Cash Management 2025.04: More transparency, smoother processes
The 2025.04 release brings practical improvements across payments, treasury, bank connectivity, and reporting. From easier manual payment handling to better visibility into loan repayments and smarter liquidity reporting, these updates are all about giving finance and treasury teams clearer information and more control without adding complexity.
Let’s take a look at what’s new:
Payments: More transparency into processed payments and account balances
It’s now simpler to see if your payments have been processed and to check account balances when entering new payments manually.
Key updates:
- See payment info from Accounts: In the Sent batches and Failed batches tabs, you can now see if payment information from the bank matches your payments. This helps you quickly spot which payments have gone through.
- Check debtor account balances: When entering a manual payment, you can now see the latest balance of the debtor account right away.
Why this matters: You can catch issues faster and avoid mistakes when entering payments, saving time and reducing the need for extra checks.
"The 'Payment info found in Accounts' column helps you identify and verify paid payments. You can easily see which payments have been processed by the bank. Additionally, when entering new manual payments, the latest debtor bank account balance information is now available." — Jukka Estola, Senior Product Manager
Liquidity: More control over how bank account details are shown in reports
Finance teams work with reports every day, and small changes in how data is displayed can make a big difference. This update adds new options for displaying bank account information in Liquidity reports, making it easier to read, analyze, and present data in a way that fits your team’s workflow.
You can now customize the way bank account details are shown—whether that’s just the account number, the full IBAN, or combinations including currency and account name.
We’ve also improved how FX rates are displayed: they now appear clearly alongside each transaction, making it easier to review cash positions across multiple currencies.
Why it matters: These improvements reduce the need for external formatting and help teams focus on decision-making, not data cleanup.
“Every team formats their reports differently. These new options make it easy to tailor reports so they’re easier to read and more useful—without needing to export and adjust the data manually.” – Karl-Henrik Sundberg, Senior Product Manager
Treasury: Expanded deal management for loans and deposits
Managing loans and deposits often involves changes along the way: Adjusting principal amounts, updating interest payments, or adding fees. With the 2025.04 update, Treasury teams now have more control to manage these changes directly within the Deal management tab.
Key updates:
- You can now manually add, edit, and delete cash flow transactions like additional principal, repayments, interest, and fees.
- When principal or interest transactions are updated, Nomentia automatically ensures the deal is fully paid with the final principal payment and updates any outstanding interest.
- To keep financial records accurate, cash flows that have already been posted to accounting cannot be edited.
These expanded loan and deposit management capabilities give teams a more complete and flexible way to track and manage deals as they evolve.
"We expanded loan management to give treasury teams more comprehensive control over individual loans. On top of that, we’ve added customizability features that make reporting even easier." — Perttu Maunu, Senior Product Manager for Treasury Management
Bank connections: Backup option now available in the UI
Unexpected issues with bank connections can interrupt payment flows. To help mitigate this, the 2025.04 adds a new manual backup feature for Web Services bank connections.
Users can now access the Web Services Backup system directly from the interface. If the main connection goes down, users can switch to the backup option with just a few clicks. Once activated, payment files are collected in one place, where they can be downloaded and delivered to the bank manually if needed.
These downloaded files are signed and protected, so they can’t be altered after download.
This feature requires a Web Services Backup system license and the appropriate user rights. If you don’t yet have access, you can request activation through our Help Center.
“We’ve made it easier for users to stay in control when something goes wrong with their bank connection. With the new tab in the UI, switching to the backup process is no longer hidden behind support tickets or technical steps, but right where you need it.” – Samuli Lehtonen, Senior Product Manager
Accounts: Create rules faster with real transaction data
Managing account posting rules just got easier with Nomentia Cash Management 2025.04. You can now create an Accounts rule directly from an account statement transaction. Instead of manually entering all the conditions, the system uses values from the selected transaction to prefill the rule conditions for you.
"Being able to create rules based directly on account statement transactions saves is a quicker way to set up consistent posting without having to start from scratch." – Maria Junnola, Senior Product Manager
