Nomentia Cash Management 2025.05: Small changes, bigger impact
The May release focuses on refining everyday workflows, automating more steps, and giving teams better tools to stay in control without adding complexity. From smarter filters in Liquidity to automated sanctions list checks and Excel-ready treasury reports, each improvement is designed to cut friction and make daily work just a little easier. .
Let’s take a look at what’s new and improved:
Liquidity: Smarter tracking of transaction changes
Keeping track of when liquidity transactions were created, imported, or modified is now easier thanks to a redesigned filtering in Liquidity. The new Edited filter replaces the older timestamp column and enables more flexible tracking using both relative and absolute time ranges, such as “Yesterday to Today” or custom date periods.
This enhancement helps finance teams quickly pinpoint activity, monitor recent changes, and troubleshoot data issues without having to scroll or manually sort through columns.
Why it matters: Better visibility into transaction history means teams can stay on top of updates and spot inconsistencies faster—saving time and reducing the risk of missed changes.
“We’ve made it easier to answer the simple but important question: ‘When did this change?’ The new Edited filter gives teams a more intuitive way to monitor updates across liquidity transactions.” – Karl-Henrik Sundberg, Senior Product Manager
Sanctions Screening: Automated list updates with smarter whitelist checks
Managing sanctions compliance just got easier. Nomentia now lets you automatically activate the latest versions of public sanctions lists, by simply selecting which lists to keep up to date with the new Automate updates option.
To ensure nothing slips through the cracks, all whitelisted items are automatically re-checked against each updated sanctions list. If any previously approved item now appears on a new list, the system flags it with an alert. A guided dialog then helps you decide whether to keep or remove it from the whitelist.
For teams that want to control the timing of these checks, automatic updates can be left off.
Additionally, payments that don’t include a creditor name or bank account—like cheques or certain service payments—are now clearly labeled with a “NOTPROVIDED” value. This helps avoid processing issues caused by missing data.
Why it matters: Staying compliant with ever-changing sanctions lists is time-consuming and error-prone. These new automations reduce manual effort, increase safety, and make it easier to react to new restrictions in a timely manner.
“Now when public sanctions lists are updated, the system automatically checks if any whitelisted items have become restricted. It helps teams catch risks that would otherwise go unnoticed—and it’s all built in.” – Jukka Estola, Senior Product Manager
Payments: Small improvement, smoother data entry
While most updates this cycle are under the hood, there’s one change that helps with everyday usability:
When adding Finnish IBAN account numbers to the Parties registry (Settings / Payments), the BIC code is now automatically generated and filled in.
“It’s a small tweak, but it removes a common annoyance for users working with Finnish accounts.” – Jukka Estola, Senior Product Manager
Treasury: Automated reporting and new Excel export support
Managing treasury reports is now faster and more flexible. With the 2025.05 update, reports can now be exported in Excel format—a widely requested improvement that makes it easier to analyze data, build dashboards, and work with reports across systems.
Even better, report generation can now be automated. Instead of creating reports manually through the UI, users can now schedule them using Integration flows. This means critical treasury data can be delivered automatically to the right place at the right time, without extra steps.
Why it matters: These updates reduce the time and effort spent on recurring reporting tasks. Teams can work directly in Excel, and automation ensures consistent delivery of treasury reports—freeing up time for more strategic work.
“Previously, reports had to be created manually from the interface, and Excel wasn’t even an option. Now teams can schedule report generation and get their data in the format they actually use.” – Perttu Maunu, Senior Product Manager
Integration Flows: Easier access, clearer licensing & smarter archiving
Managing and using Integration Flows just got more straightforward.
- The Integration Flows interface is now visible to any user with the Integration flows / Browsing user right. That means teams can review flows without needing full admin access.
- The previous Integration Flows core: API and SFTP management license has been renamed to Integration Flows management to better reflect its purpose.
In addition, a new Archiving activity is now available in Integration flows, replacing the older Internal and External archiving steps. This update makes it easier to manage how and where files are stored, while keeping everything centralized and more flexible.
“These updates remove unnecessary barriers and give teams more options to manage automation in a way that fits their needs.” – Samuli Lehtonen, Senior Product Manager
Nomentia Cash Management 2025.05: Streamlined, smarter, more user-friendly
The 2025.05 release shows that even incremental changes can unlock major benefits. Whether it’s automating routine tasks, making compliance checks more reliable, or simply filling in BIC codes automatically—these updates help teams save time, reduce errors, and stay focused on what matters.
