Neova Group chooses Nomentia for their treasury

 “No surprises and value first”

Espoo, Finland - 12.03.2026 - Neova Group has selected Nomentia as its new treasury management system provider, following a review of how well its existing tools matched the company’s actual needs.

Stable foundation

At Neova, the role of treasury is to ensure reliability, transparency, and preparedness across financing, cash flows, and risk exposure.

As Erik Nieminen, Director of Group Treasury, puts it: “Treasury is there to make sure there are no surprises.”

Treasury acts as the single source of truth for financing, loans, contracts, and related reporting, supporting both statutory requirements and management insight. Accuracy, availability, and trust in data matter. They ensure that when questions arise, answers are immediate and correct.

With more than 20 years at Neova, Nieminen represents a treasury function that has built long-term credibility through consistency. “Our role is to make sure the information is always up to date and reliable. We need to have the answers, and they need to be correct,” he notes.

Reassessing treasury system fit

The decision to look for a new treasury management system was driven by the upcoming release of a new-generation version of Neova’s existing solution. While the previous system was not failing, the planned upgrade prompted Neova to reassess whether the level of system complexity still matched its actual needs.

Neova concluded that the new version would be significantly more complex than required. “It wasn’t that the system didn’t work,” Nieminen explains. “It was simply too heavy for what we actually need.”

Many of the available features and instrument types went far beyond Neova’s treasury scope, adding effort without creating proportional value. “It’s like buying a fully loaded car when a solid base model would do the job better,” Nieminen says.

A value-first, right-sized approach

Nomentia was selected because it offers the treasury capabilities Neova actually needs.

Nomentia’s modular-by-design solution supports loan management, structured and reliable reporting, and data that enables forecasting and risk awareness, while remaining practical to operate for a lean treasury team.

“We were looking for something that fits how we actually work,” Nieminen says. “Not a system with every possible feature, but one that supports our core processes well.”

Continuity and predictability

Another key factor was familiarity. Neova has worked with Nomentia for years on payments and cash flow forecasting, reducing uncertainty in the selection process. Being part of the same platform also allows the reuse of existing data structures and dimensions, keeping implementation pragmatic and predictable.

“We want a system that supports experienced people in doing their work efficiently and reliably.”

A value-first choice for long-term reliability

Although the project is still in its early stages, the decision reflects Neova’s broader treasury philosophy: systems should enable people, support transparency, and reinforce long-term trust.

For a mid-market company, choosing a modular, value-first treasury platform is less about transformation headlines and more about protecting what treasury does best: delivering stability, insight, and, above all, no surprises.
