FAQ Nomentia Payments

Can I import payment batches directly from SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite?
Yes. In Nomentia Payments, batch import is supported from multiple ERPs via SFTP or API, including SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite. Imported batches retain transaction details and metadata for lifecycle monitoring.
Does the system handle ISO 20022 and legacy formats simultaneously?
Yes. Built-in conversions normalize inbound legacy formats to ISO 20022 pain.001, and outbound files can be generated in the bank-required format.
Can I route payments differently for treasury versus operational payments?
Yes. Payments can be routed by source, type, or entity, and treasury-derived, payroll, or ERP operational payments can follow different paths with different approvals and limits.
How are multi-step approval chains configured?
Approval chains are configurable per entity, payment type, batch, or threshold. You can set multiple approvers, notifications, and support mobile approvals.
Can I attach invoices or supporting documents to payment batches?
Yes. Documents, comments, and evidence can be attached at batch or payment level and retained in the audit trail based on permissions.
How is bank feedback (pain.002) handled?
In Nomentia Payments, bank feedback is ingested automatically and shown as acceptance, rejection, or warnings per batch or payment, with options for review and reprocessing.
Can users approve payments via mobile?
Yes. Approvals can be executed through a mobile app or browser, including review, comments, and approve or reject actions.
Is there a way to detect duplicate payments automatically?
Yes. Duplicate detection compares current batches against historical payments using configurable fields and time windows, generating alerts before transmission.
How do you handle country-specific payment rules such as BACS, CHAPS, or SEPA?
Country-specific templates and validation rules support domestic rails, including IBAN/BIC, currency, and mandatory field requirements.
Can treasury settlements be netted automatically before sending?
Yes. Opposing cashflows from treasury deals can be netted before generating payment material, reducing transaction volume and banking fees.
How are sensitive payments flagged to limit visibility?
Sensitive batch flags restrict single-payment visibility to authorized users while maintaining audit traceability.
Can I consolidate multiple small payments to reduce fees?
Yes. Payment routing and consolidation can combine small or frequent payments to optimize bank charges.
Does the system provide audit logs for all payment actions?
Yes. In Nomentia Payments, every creation, edit, approval, and transmission is logged with timestamps, user IDs, and batch or payment context.
How are payment failures or rejections reported?
Users receive automated notifications for failed or rejected batches, with options to view details, comment, reassign, or correct issues.
Can I integrate Payments into our existing ERP without disrupting operations?
Yes. Standard APIs and ERP-specific plugins support phased integration, and processing can run in parallel during rollout.
