What is Nomentia AI?

Nomentia AI is an AI assistant embedded directly in the Nomentia application. Users can ask questions in plain language and receive answers based on Nomentia help content or selected live data available in their Nomentia environment.

Is customer data used to train AI models?

No. Customer data is not used for model training or reuse. The underlying language model is stateless and does not persist processed customer data.

Can Nomentia AI access live treasury data?

Yes, when a user asks a question about specific data, such as a payment, account balance, payment batch, deal, or FX rate, the relevant data may be passed to the language model solely to answer that question.

Does Nomentia AI respect each user's existing permissions and entitlements?

Yes. Nomentia AI operates entirely within the same access model as the rest of the platform. It acts on behalf of the signed-in user and inherits that user's roles and entitlements, so it can only see, retrieve, or act on data that the user is already permitted to access. It never exposes accounts, entities, or transactions a user couldn't reach through the normal interface.

Is it cloud-based, and how does that affect our deployment?

Nomentia AI is delivered as part of Nomentia's cloud-native SaaS platform. It can be added to a customers tenant in the Nomentia cloud enviroment.

Can I connect Nomentia AI to other AI assistants (e.g. via MCP)?

Yes. By summer 2026 Nomentia AI can be exposed through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, an open standard that lets external AI assistants and agents connect securely to Nomentia. This allows MCP-compatible tools to query treasury and cash-management data and trigger supported workflows in natural language. All access runs through your existing authentication and respects each user's roles and entitlements, and every action is captured in the standard audit trail.
